Tuesday, September 10
Noon to 1:30 p.m.
Stage 2, Columbia College
618 S. Michigan Ave., Chicago

You're invited to join the Center for Illinois Politics for our inaugural event—a public forum on the role of personal wealth in state politics.

As ultra-wealthy governors become the new normal in Illinois, do we need to draw a line on the use of personal funds for public purposes? Or is it okay because taxpayers aren't footing the bill for certain expenses?

Please join us for an engaging discussion with these experts, moderated by Audra Wilson, Executive Director of the League of Women Voters Illinois:

  • Dr. Zachary Cook, Professor of Political Science at Lake Forest College
  • Maryam Judar, Executive Director of Citizen Advocacy Center
  • Mike Lawrence, Former Director of Paul Simon Public Policy Institute at Southern Illinois University
  • Hon. Jeff Schoenberg, Former State Senator and Center for Illinois Politics Board Member
  • Jay Young, Executive Director of Common Cause

This event is free to attend, but register now to reserve your place! Lunch is not provided, but please feel free to bring your own.
